Son of a Preacher Man is making headlines across the United Kingdom. The classic has tour dates through July 2018 with a vibrant cast that will ignite the crowd. Diana Vickers shines on the stage offering her star power to a cast that is well-known across the world.
Vickers, the X Factor semi-finalist, is a musical artist that is a triple threat. Her acting skills have been refined in the West End with her first starring in “The Rise and Fall of Little Voice.” She has since been in numerous other productions, including “The Duck House” and “The Rocky Horror Show.”
She’s joined by Debra Stephenson. The comedian, actress and singer, Stephenson is best known for her work on The Impressions Show. She has also had several major roles in Coronation Street and Bad Girls.
Ian Reddington is the leading male role in the performance and is one of the best-known actors to take the stage. Reddington has been seen on Dr. Who, Outlander and Shameless among several additional television series. He also has a wealth of experience in acting that shines in Son of a Preacher Man.
Vickers, Stephenson and Reddington will all be replaced in the 2018 tour. The Preacher man’s legacy of helping kids with broken hearts has been passed down from generation to generation. He is long gone, but three strangers migrate to the old standing ground of the Soho joint. The memories remain, the stories are stilled told, and the myths lead the strangers to the Preacher Man’s son that channels the spirit of his father.
The Preacher Man’s spirit has a few last words of advice for the lovesick that he helped so often when he was alive.
